Credit Agricole appoints head of financial operations

French banking group Credit Agricole has appointed Olivier Belorgey as head of financial operations.

In his role, Belorgey will report to Bernard Delpit, group finance director.

Belorgey began his career at Credit Lyonnais in 1991 within the Capital Markets division where, after having developed option pricing models, he became head of French bond options trading.

In 1995, Belorgey joined the Assets/Liabilities Management (ALM) unit of the Finance department in order to manage the bank's balance sheet interest raterisk.

In 1999, Belorgey was appointed head of professional retail clients with responsibility for a group of bank branches before joining the Human Resources department as head of HR policies in 2001.

Belorgey joined Calyon as head of management control after its creation in 2004 and has been head of ALM at Calyon since 2007 and of CPM since March 2009.
